On The Tithe
- A "How To" Primer
10/22/09
|
"The Things that are
God's..."
Are we under an obligation to tithe? Is the tithe a
part of an "abrogated" law? Don't we owe YHVH everything?
Many misconceptions make their way through the
conventional church today. Most all of them leave the
Christian in limbo, not knowing how to please his God, nor how
to alleviate the guilt of ever wondering if he has fulfilled
all the requirements of living in the kingdom of God. Even
more default to never giving and find
themselves responsible for their own financial
difficulties - never really free to ask the Father for
help.
So just what is expected of us and how
much - how often? What is a "second
tithe" and who ever heard of a
"third tithe"? Shouldn't "New
Testament Christians" just discard this "Old Testament"
ordinance altogether?
Join Don and Bill Sperry as they
explore the Scriptures to reveal a pattern of giving and clear
examples that any man of faith can understand. A no
nonsense approach to tithing.

"On Sabbath"
-Keeping our Appointment with the Creator 07-16-2009
|
"The Son of Man is Lord of
the Sabbath..."
The Sabbath seems to be either the most neglected (or
most misunderstood) ordinance of the Scriptures. Many
Christians do not keep the Sabbath because they do not
understand its role in a "New Testament" frame.
For
centuries the Sabbath has stood as a dividing line between
sects and denominations. Ignoring it has caused whole
countries to topple and go into obscurity. Keeping the day as
intended by the great Lawgiver, however, offers blessing and
reward, but how do we do it? Join us for this online
classroom, On Sabbath.

On
Leaven -Observing a New
Covenant Passover 02-26-2009
"As often as ye do
this..."
As often as we do what? Just what has Yeshua done? What
are we to do? Are we to carry on the SAME Passover Commandment in
the Scriptures that the Jews have for so many years? Have
changes been made to Torah?
Is Passover a day? - a night? - a
feast? - a week-long celebration? How can we be obedient to the
Scriptures which command a lamb be slain, yet honor the sacrifice
of Messiah who was the Lamb?
Believe it or not, as
Torah observant Christians, a precise and
balanced theology becomes very, very important. We
have been put in a very tight place here. What do you do when Torah
and Yeshua collide? Or do
they?
We will answer these and
many other questions surrounding this vital issue. Just what
is the obligation of those who intend to honor Torah AND it's
fulfillment in Messiah?

fulness of God." Col

On Grace -A Gift Mis-Defined 1-27
& 1-29-2009
CAN YOU DEFINE
GRACE? Grace - American Heritage
Dictionary: 1. Seemingly effortless beauty or
charm of movement, form, or proportion. 2. A characteristic or quality
pleasing for its charm or refinement. 3. A sense of fitness or
propriety. 4. A
disposition to be generous or helpful; goodwill. 5. Mercy; clemency.
6. A favor
rendered by one who need not do so; indulgence. 7. A temporary immunity or
exemption; a reprieve. 8. Divine love and protection bestowed freely on
people. 9. The
state of being protected or sanctified by the favor of God.
10. An excellence
or power granted by God. 11. A short prayer of blessing or thanksgiving said
before or after a meal. 12.
Grace Used with His, Her, or Your as a title and form of
address for a duke, duchess, or archbishop.
It looks as though the
dictionary is having trouble with this most precious word. Though
many theologians seem to have no trouble at all! They will quickly
answer: Grace?... that's unmerited favor! Is that your answer as
well? Better get your Bible out for this
one! http://www.thinkredink.com/new-media/video/RLAG/index.htm
Immortality
of the Soul 11/6, 11/13, 11/20, 2008
The preacher screams, "Once a man is born he
will never die! -- He'll live forever in heaven or forever in
Hell!"
Is that true?
Most Protestants believe
the doctrine of the immortal soul, but is it a Bible doctrine? What
is meant by the sleep of death and why did the Apostle Paul say
"...to be absent from the body is to be present with the
Lord."?
If our
doctrines of salvation are based upon a flawed concept, can our
salvation assured?
If
Messiah's promise to those who follow Him was to "Live forever" what
befalls those who don't follow Him?
Living
forever in Heaven or burning forever in Hell - is this doctrine
from the Bible or Dante's Inferno?
We will answer these and many other
questions surrounding this vital issue. Settle this forever in your
mind and heart – Just what is the state of those who have died
before us? http://www.thinkredink.com/new-media/video/RLAIS/index.htm
On Guidance
-Hearing the Voice of
God 07-10
thru 08-14, 2008
Does anyone like making
decisions? Why is that? Could it be that we not created
to make decisions -- but to follow?
Our
lives are complicated and complex operations. We MUST hear from our
God. Has He left us to our own wits? How can we be sure that we hear
His voice?
He has not left us comfortless! He speaks. His
sheep hear His voice. Do you?

Reconciling
the Resurrection (03-20-2008)
Anyone who says there are no contradictions
in the Bible – has never read it.
Fundamental to Christianity is the resurrection, but
have you ever wondered why the four Gospel accounts of the
“resurrection morning” don't all tell the same story? How
could all these accounts be true? The contradictions and
inconsistencies are abundant and undeniable. Or are they?
NO ONE will even touch this
controversy. Preachers
preach all around it, theologians argue about it, and pastors hope
no one will notice it and start asking questions that they cannot
answer. Sounds like a perfect job for Red Letter Academy.
Just in
time for “Easter” this study will enrich your understanding of
Biblical history and erase the doubts that plague anyone who has
looked into this incongruity in the Scripture.
The
good news: As soon as you get
the
red letters right -- it all makes
sense! http://www.thinkredink.com/new-media/video/RR/index.htm
The
Rapture - A critical
study
(04-24-2008)
Most Christians
believe the doctrine of the rapture. Is He coming in the clouds? Are we going
up? Are we going anywhere? Is the rapture found in the
Bible? No, I'm not talking about the word "rapture" (we ALL
know that's not there) but, the concept.
Let's allow
the Bible to interpret itself and see if the doctrine of rapture is
true. If we decide to hold only to what
the Scripture plainly declares, how much of what we believe now
will be retained as truth when this study is over?
Study includes 1 1/2 hours of presentation followed by 1
hour of Q&A. This will be fun. Registration page has the cost
information.

The Second Exodus -YHVH will do it
again!(Spring 2008)
Does the
account of the exodus from Egypt depict events to
come? The similarities are striking. The
promises of protection are words of hope to we, who in these
last days await His return.
The knowledge of His calendar is
essential. Where do the Feast days come into play? Even the
construction of His calendar reveals clues to those with "ears to
hear". He has always operated on the same calendar, set into
motion at creation, and now, revealed to us upon whom the ends of
the world are come.
"Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the
LORD, that they shall no more say, "The
LORD which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of
Egypt" But, "The LORD which brought up and led the seed of the
house of Israel from all countries" and they shall dwell in their
own land." Jeremiah 23
Let's study the account of the
exodus with new vigor, understanding that it is a pattern given to
us to comprehend latter-day events.
Take heart, Pilgrim, He
really has NOT appointed us to wrath. He will take us out with a
mighty hand -- AGAIN!
Don't miss this one! See the
